Dancer and Airs above the ground.
Oh, Dancer. He's so cute. Last night I tacked him up in the Wintec that I'm buying from Karen. He was inattentive on the lunge line, and ripped off a few nasty bucks, intermingled with half hearted attemps to roll in the tack. There were some really pretty leaps straight up in the air too. I jumped on and we started to walk on a long rein and all I felt was his desire to get rid of me and roll. Every time we went across the arena, he'd slow down put his head down, and I could feel him testing me to see if I'd let him roll - with me on him! After a while, I couldn't get his attention, and I hopped off, stripped him right there in the middle of the arena and let him have his roll. He was soooo happy. Good for him. Tonight before I ride, he's getting turned out into the arena to get his rolling out of his system before I get on. A happy horse is a happy Margie!

Tricky has tried to do that with me. I just kept telling him no. Eventually after being persistent he learned that when he has a rider he is clocked into work, no games.
